“Wow! We’ve got to come here again!”

Yup, that about sums up what I said to my friends after a recent meal at George’s, located one block north of the downtown bridge in Racine.

The restaurant specializes in authentic Persian food, created with fresh ingredients and served by the husband-and-wife owners, David and Soosan Popoff. The Adas Polo (chicken, saffron and raisins on rice) was outstanding, as was their congenial attention to our overall dining experience.

I’m happy to support this unique local establishment instead of settling for the ho-hum fare offered by many corporate restaurant chains.
